benefits of infrared saunas
Infrared saunas use infrared light to create a deep heat that penetrates the skin and provides numerous health benefits. The infrared light used in saunas is categorized into three types: near-infrared (NIR), mid-infrared (MID), and far-infrared (FIR), based on their wavelengths. Each type of infrared light has its own unique benefits for the body, including improved circulation, relaxation, pain relief, and skin purification.
The radiant heat from infrared light is absorbed directly by the body, rather than heating the surrounding air like traditional saunas. We feel infrared light as heat because it causes the molecules in our skin to vibrate and produce warmth.
It may take longer to start sweating in an infrared sauna compared to a traditional sauna because the infrared light does not heat the air like traditional saunas do. Instead, the infrared light penetrates the skin and heats the body directly. This means that the body needs to warm up from the inside out, which can take a little bit longer to start sweating. However, once the body is warmed up, it will continue to sweat more efficiently and effectively than in a traditional sauna because the infrared heat is able to penetrate deeper into the body, resulting in a more comprehensive detoxification process.
